Given the firm’s continued growth, they are seeking Electrical Engineers to assume key project design roles within a growing national organization.

ROLE
This dynamic project design role calls for a talented Electrical Engineer interested in working collaboratively on both single and multi-disciplinary design projects across multiple project types including Civic, Education, Commercial, Retail and Science + Technology for high profile clients nationally. The Electrical Engineer is engaged in a variety of concurrent projects inclusive of design development, engineering calculations, documentation, specifications and construction administration. S/he will prepare drawings detailing the designed system and prepare calculations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following responsibilities are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing:

  • Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures, using knowledge of building codes and regulations to create/modify designs and drawings
  • Apply electrical engineering fundamentals for technical support of project design teams
  • Create specification packages
  • Participate in the education and development of design staff and act as a professional resource
  • Research code provisions, products and material information
  • Coordinate information exchange between clients, project manager and project team
  • Verify all design aspects comply with local codes and apply code provisions
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and client presentations and attend client meetings
  • Perform field inspections, measurement or calculations and document
  • Conduct research related to material qualities, feasibility and restrictions
  • Suggest new ideas and processes and stay informed of developments in practice areas
  • Team player also able to work independently

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensure with authority to use the title Electrical Engineer preferred, not required
  • 3+ years progressive Power, Lighting and Fire Alarm design experience for buildings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and AGI Lighting Software required
