Given the firm’s continued growth, they are seeking Sr. Mechanical Engineers to assume key leadership roles within a growing national organization.

ROLE
This dynamic leadership role calls for an energetic and highly motivated Sr. Mechanical Engineer capable and qualified to independently lead both single and multi-disciplinary design projects. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for a variety of concurrent projects inclusive of conceptual development, engineering calculations, documentation, specifications and construction administration. This role can expand as he or she takes on broader aspects of project and client management, financial performance and any issues pertaining to the team, client and project. S/he will prepare drawings detailing the designed system and prepare system design calculations. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will nurture the growth of relationships with existing clients and will prepare engineering solutions for complex designs and technical specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following responsibilities are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing:

  • Use advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in developing design
  • Perform complex assignments requiring development of new and/or improved techniques
  • Support the education and development of design staff and act as professional resource
  • Perform QA/QC on drawings from drafters, designers, and/or design engineers on projects
  • Act as quality coordinator for discipline led projects
  • Serve on professional association committees for establishment of policies, standards, procedures, and research at a local, state, or national level

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Licensure with authority to use the title Mechanical Engineer
  • 9+ years progressive Mechanical Engineering project and leadership experience within a Mechanical Engineering or Multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sufficient professional experience to assure both technical and management competence
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD required
