Given the firm’s continued growth and success they are seeking a Housing Market Leader in their NYC, Philadelphia, PA or Princeton, NJ offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
With a depth of housing expertise across affordable housing, market-rate housing and/or student housing, the articulate and strategic Housing Market Leader will assume a key role firmwide. They will establish objectives for housing projects, and will mentor junior staff while guiding their creative development and performance within the design process. The Housing Market Leader will participate in all facets of project design and play a key role in the firmwide direction of housing design inclusive of low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise buildings of wood, steel, and concrete structures. As a key leader with expertise in urban infill, transit oriented and mixed-use development projects they will elevate the firm’s multifamily design and technical excellence.
The Housing Market Leader will work regionally to create productive and on-going relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across the affordable housing, market-rate housing and student housing sectors that will enhance the firm’s competitive advantage and positioning. As a key leader they will leverage the firm’s expertise, portfolio, and talent to elevate the firm’s reputation for market responsive and sustainable design driven solutions. The Housing Market Leader will have a proven track record in the cultivation and acquisition of new clients and talent, and will extend existing relationships with referral sources, consultants and other influencers while consistently making networks aware of the firm’s design expertise. Marketing and business development activities include target client identification, proposal preparation and presentation, and active industry involvement.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 15+ years professional experience with at least 10 years focused on housing.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
- Architecture License required, LEED Accreditation preferred
- Fluency with: Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Modeling programs and Adobe CS
- Established record of successful design leadership, running multiple projects + teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to manage people and projects
- Proven experience identifying leads, building a network, and acquiring work.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated design of Muiltifamily projects and units
