OVERVIEW: 
Our client is an award-winning Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning practice based in NYC, recognized for design excellence, ecological sensitivity, and technical innovation. The firm leverages its planning and landscape architecture expertise, as well as in-depth knowledge of local markets through a network of culturally diverse, people centric design studios focused on projects addressing climate change, resiliency, park design, open space equity, urban design, streets and public spaces, green infrastructure, and multi-family housing projects. They collaborate with internationally acclaimed architects and engineers and foster a creative, energetic atmosphere that is challenging to team members and attentive to quality of life. Given the firm’s organic growth and success, the firm is seeking a Landscape Architectural Designer who will contribute their design talents to a dynamic portfolio of environmentally and socially impactful projects.

PROFILE:
The Landscape Architectural Designer is a talented landscape design professional providing clear vision and direction for innovative and responsive design regionally and nationally. Working closely with clients and project teams, the Designer will draw upon their passion for ecology and sustainability and/or experience with waterfront or wetland environments to elevate design across all disciplines and markets. They will foster a culture of design excellence throughout the practice in collaboration with their team members, building on the firm’s successes as a top design practice that secures and delivers significant, impactful projects. The Designer will develop and maintain strong client relationships, assist with project pursuits, and represent the firm as a key designer. They will craft project work plans, delegate design tasks, and ensure projects progress on time and on budget.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture preferred.
  • Licensed Landscape Architect with current registration preferred.
  • Passion for design quality and new developments in the field.
  • Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills (English fluency)
  • Emotional intelligence to operate effectively in client-facing and internal leadership roles.
  • Ability to craft project work plans, delegate design tasks, and ensure project progress is on time and within budget.
  • Experience with all phases of design through construction administration; ability to lead development of construction documents. 
  • Strong proficiency with ArcPro / ArcGIS, AutoCAD, 3D modelling, visualization and creating presentations (Rhino, Lumion, Grasshopper, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience with public agency/municipal submissions and approvals preferred.
  • LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
  • Driver’s license a plus.
This is a full-time, in-office position with an option for some remote working days.
