With a dynamic national portfolio encompassing Education, Cultural, Commercial, Industrial and Land/Urban Planning projects, their design and technical expertise combined with a collegial approach to problem solving, have propelled the firm’s success. The firm’s dynamic design-focused studio structure promotes collaboration and innovation while supporting ongoing investments in the talent, technology, and strategic growth. Given the firm’s sustained success, they are seeking a Marketing Director based in their Philadelphia Office to develop and orchestrate marketing initiatives that advance the firm’s goals and objectives. 

PROFILE + RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Director is a creative and agile leader, guiding marketing department priorities and workload, collaborating in setting strategy, and driving implementation of marketing initiatives. They will empower and mobilize the firm’s Marketing Team in the areas of Pursuits, Communications, and Business Development. They will provide team management and mentorship, allowing for elevation of the collective skills and effectiveness of the Marketing Team comprised of a Proposal Specialist, Writing and Communications Specialist, Marketing Coordinator, Content Specialist, and Marketing Strategist focused on positioning the firm and people around business development opportunities. The Marketing Director will develop and improve processes to increase efficiency, provide budget oversight, and ensure tracking of all pursuits, informing accounting and operational planning.

As a collaborative leader, the Marketing Director will work closely with the firm’s architecture, interiors and planning leadership in the development and implementation of strategic, actionable plans that drive marketing initiatives which embody the firm’s mission and values. The Marketing Plan will coalesce strategies that include: External Communications, Social Media Strategy, and Marketing Initiatives that support sales goals within desired typologies. They will orchestrate overall workload for proposal responses and provide feedback and support on whether to recommend pursing an RFP. As part of the pursuit process, they will support the Proposal Specialist to ensure that RFP responses are consistent with firm strategy and brand identity, and support messaging and content for the subsequent interview process. The Marketing Director is key firmwide leader who thrives within a collaborative team atmosphere, is passionate about exceptional design and communications, and recognizes the importance of marketing within a successful organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience managing people & processes across a company of comparable scale.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Journalism
  • 10+ years of marketing experience in the AEC industry; architecture firm experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing people and process.
  • Ability to understand and drive marketing strategy.
  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Prefer experience with Deltek, Open Asset and Power BI.
  • Organizational skills to oversee data and content management.
  • Experience with implementing Communications Plans – knowledge of social media platforms.
