Given the company’s long-term growth and success they are seeking a Director of Architecture to lead architectural design and the architecture practice.

SUMMARY
The Director of Architecture is a talented designer with demonstrated experience leading high-end, single-family residential architectural and interior architectural design. In addition to focusing on single-family custom residences, they will also oversee the design of multi-family residential and commercial properties created by external architectural firms. The successful candidate is a passionate and strategic thinker, creatively driven, solutions oriented, and an excellent communicator who possesses an attention to detail and understands flawless execution. They must be well organized, have a strong work ethic, self-motivated, and work well as a team member. The Director of Architecture must have the ability to lead an architectural and design team, follow direction, and have superb client relations. They will report to the President and CEO, and will be based in Naples, FL.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss design needs for high-end residential projects, primarily custom single-family homes. 
• Provide appropriate design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and the various types of architecture that the target market desires. 
• Collaborate in the development and generation of design concepts and solutions.
• Leverage technical skills to prepare communication graphics and design visualizations.
• Oversee the production of architectural documents for management approval.
• Participate in team design meetings and occasionally work with outside consultants and firms. 
• Ensure all vital information and documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
• Verify that all architectural documentation is compliant with relevant industry codes and standards.
• Lead an in-house design team working closely with the Company and its design professionals. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Architecture License and Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in required.
• 15-20+ years professional experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position. 
• Prior experience working with clients in luxury residential real estate at an architectural firm preferred. 
• Advanced level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, BIM, and MS Office software required. 
• Established record of successful design leadership, running multiple projects and teams.
• Strong creative design and time management skills. Able to effectively meet deadlines. 
• A self-starter, able to work independently without the need for frequent direction. 
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
