Given the firm’s continued growth, they are seeking Sr. Electrical Engineers to assume key project design roles within a growing national organization.

ROLE
This dynamic leadership role calls for an energetic and highly motivated Sr. Electrical Engineer capable and qualified to independently lead both single and multi-disciplinary design projects. The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for a variety of concurrent projects inclusive of design development, engineering calculations, documentation, specifications and construction administration. This role can expand as he or she takes on broader aspects of project and client management, financial performance and any issues pertaining to the team, client and project. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will nurture the growth of relationships with existing clients and will prepare engineering solutions for complex designs and technical specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following responsibilities are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing:

  • Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures, using knowledge of building codes and regulations to create/modify designs and drawings
  • Apply electrical engineering fundamentals for technical support of project design teams
  • Verify all design aspects comply with local codes and apply code provisions
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and client presentations and attend client meetings
  • Perform field inspections, measurement or calculations and document
  • Conduct research related to material qualities, feasibility, restrictions, etc.
  • Suggest new ideas and processes and stay informed of developments in practice areas
  • Support the education and development of design staff and act as a professional resource
  • Coordinate information exchange between clients, project manager and project team
  • Team player also able to work independently

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensure with authority to use the title Electrical Engineer required, or within one year
  • 5+ years progressive Power, Lighting and Fire Alarm design experience for buildings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and AGI Lighting Software required
