Given the firm’s continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Workplace Designer to play a key role in the growth of their New York office and corporate interiors practice.
                  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Workplace Designer brings visionary and creative leadership with a deep understanding of the profession, promoting a culture of exceptional design for the studio in alignment with firm-wide design goals. As an integral part of the Design Team, s/he will participate in programming, concept and schematic design, design development and construction documentation for high profile Workplace and Hospitality Interiors projects in New York, nationally and internationally.

With exceptional attention to details and accuracy, this entrepreneurial and nimble designer will develop space planning concepts and generate Revit documentation, develop schematic and design development presentations and participate in the selection of furniture (FF&E). A confident communicator, s/he will work with closely with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives, and will assist in managing client expectations, team and consultant coordination.


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Interior Architecture required

  • NCIDQ or architectural registration as required for professional practice

  • 5-10 years of progressive design responsibility with a strong focus on Corporate and Workplace/Commercial interiors

  • Excellent client relationship skills with the ability to deliver engaging presentations and work collaboratively throughout the entire design process

  • A robust design ethos, with a dynamic, creatively-focused and team-based approach

  • Highly flexible and adaptive work style with the ability to make quick changes comfortably

  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of interior design practice including workplace strategy, programming, space planning, FF&E, concept and design development and detailing. Workplace experience preferred

  • Advanced Revit competence, with knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max preferred, with outstanding graphic presentation skills.
